Projects may be submitted from June 1, 2026, through September 4, 2026.

Judging Process
The winners of the IBA Hoosier Excellence Awards will be chosen by an independent panel of building industry professionals and consultants. These experts will carefully evaluate each submission based on various criteria, including innovation, craftsmanship, design, and overall excellence. Â
Category Awards Ceremony
The Category Award Winners will be honored at a grand ceremony on December 2, 2026, which will take place in conjunction with the highly anticipated IBA Board and committee meetings. This event will provide an excellent opportunity for networking and celebrating your achievements among industry peers. Find more details about the ceremony here.
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be a current IBA member.
- Projects must have been completed between September 1, 2025 and September 1, 2026.
- Projects must be located in Indiana.
- The same project may be submitted to multiple categories if applicable.
- The same company may submit multiple projects to the same category.
- Remodeling entries must include at least one before and one after photo.
- If using a professional photographer, copyright and photo release permission must be arranged before submitting your project photos. By entering this project, all photos or videos submitted may be used by IBA in public viewing, website, press releases, social media, newsletters, or other marketing purposes.
- Lot prices are not to be included in the price of a project.

Kitchen
- Best new kitchen, home over $600,000
- Best new kitchen, home under $600,000
- Best kitchen remodel, over $75,000
- Best kitchen remodel, under $75,000
Bath
- Best bathroom in a new home

Ready to apply? Here are a few things to consider when writing your description!
- What did the customer want?
- If the project is a remodel, did you provide an updated look, newer appliances, more living space, more storage, preservation or reconstruction of a historical property?
- Describe how space played a role in the new home or remodeling project
- Narrow property? Height restrictions? Inclusion of certain views (water, woods) Severe slope? Proximity to existing structures?
- What, if any, obstacles did you face?
- Did you incorporate aging-in-place design or universal design?
- Does the project qualify for green home certification? (e.g., ENERGY STAR certified home, NGBS Green certification, LEED certified green home)
